Réseau Environnement is proud to host the 14th Quebec Environmental Technology Fair on May 17th and 18th at the Quebec Convention Center.
This is an unmissable event for environmental professionals, featuring around 100 conferences and discussions on topical issues, bringing together many experts as well as green technology exhibitors. This year’s edition is even more special as Réseau Environnement celebrates its 60th anniversary.
Bruno Marchand, Mayor of Quebec City, and Richard Campeau, MNA for Bourget and Parliamentary Assistant Secretary for the Environment and Climate Change, will deliver speeches at the opening of the session on May 17 in the morning.
Alexandre Shields, environmental journalist for Le Devoir, and Louis-Gilles Francoeur, former vice-president of the Public Bureau for the Environment (BAPE), will discuss the main findings mentioned in Mr. Francourt’s latest book La. be careful.
Mr. Jonathan Julien, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Quebec, will make a statement in partnership with C3E on 18 May at 11:30 am.
Over the course of two days, 120 exhibiting organizations will present their latest environmentally friendly innovations and green technologies.
A workshop on Canada’s National Adaptation Strategy will be held on May 17 to discuss ideas and recommendations for action to be submitted to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
On 17 May, the Biodiversity Excellence Program Awards Ceremony will take place during the Expo. This ceremony rewards participating municipalities for improving their practices in terms of protecting and improving biodiversity in their area.
Awards Distinction: recognition of contribution to environmental protection
On 18 May, twelve members of the Réseau Environnement will be honored during an awards ceremony for outstanding work in their field. This year, two new awards will be presented: “Business and Organization” and “Special Award”.
Organized by RECYC-QUÉBEC, the award ceremony showcases Quebec’s environmental know-how, celebrates outstanding achievements in the development of environmentally friendly technologies, and rewards the dedication of Réseau Environnement volunteers.
