Lactalis buys Italian cheese maker Ambrosi – Science & Technology

(Reuters) – French agribusiness group Lactalis is acquiring Italian cheese maker Ambrosi SpA, Emmi Group, which is selling its 25 percent stake, announced on Monday.

“The majority of the shareholders of the Italian cheese producer, as well as Emmi, accept the takeover bid from the Lactalis group,” the Swiss group Emmi said in a statement on Monday.

According to Emmy, the parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
